Germany  Diepholzer Kreiszeitung“Hier stimmte alles!”

“[…]Sytse Buwalda is one of the most prominent representatives of his voice type. His sound is sonorous in his low range, never sharp-edged either in his considerable high range or in a forte dynamic. His voice, which reveals the finest bel canto training, has at its disposal a resonant and carrying piano. Particularly impressive is his ‘messa di voce’. Vibrato is employed sparingly but deliberately, as a means of expression, and his ornamentation neveronce seems an aim in itself. Extensive melismas on long breaths sound just as fine as virtuosic coloratura.”
